The Chinese version of IFAC’s International Auditing Standards (ISAs) and Code of Ethics for Professional Accountants was released on September 9, 2013 during the Cross-straits, Hong Kong S.A.R. and Macau S.A.R. Accounting Profession Conference 2013 convened in Xining, Qinghai Province, marking the official publication of the Chinese version of the two sets of international standards in China.

　　Both ISAs and Code of Ethics are widely accepted and referenced standards around the world. The consensus to translate the two sets of standards was reached in the 2012 Conference, during which all four parties agreed to work together to publish an accurate, standard and universal Chinese version so as to benefit the accountancy profession in cross-straits, Hong Kong S.A.R. and Macau S.A.R..

　　Authorized by IFAC, CICPA organized the translation and publication of ISAs and Code of Ethics. Such endeavor gained the full support from Hong Kong Institute of CPAs, Union of Association of Professional Accountants of Macau and Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Chinese Taipei. Translation Review Committee of IFAC Publications was set up to maintain the high quality of the translation. Cross-reference tables of terminologies were also listed to bridge the gap between different expressions adopted in different regions. Experts and scholars in and outside the accountancy profession participated in this project.

　　The translation and publication of these two books are an important achievement of the cooperation between Mainland China, Hong Kong S.A.R., Macau S.A.R. and Chinese Taipei.
